for the Weekend...

(..a little road trip)

all seasons in one day

Shot off up to Cambridgeshire of all places on Saturday. Eaton Socon to be precise. Staying at Robin's. unusually my timing was perfect. I arrived at my destination moments before the others in my 'group' (who i didn't even know were coming) and we hit the beers. We baked a camembert, drank La Tour and Robin burned a pizza (but it was still nice)and it didn't matter coz he'd already been more than hospitable with fine balsamic crisps and organic houmous. i love baked camembert. We ended up going to the priory in St N, which is always highly entertaining but not always for the right reasons.. I had such a hangover sunday morning.. still, did some useful things about the place and watched the re-run of x factor while robin worked. Thai delivered sunday night and a good old chinwag. nice. drove home really slowly coz i didn't want to run out of petrol.. but i didn't want to put any more in the car either.. economy would be helped if it wasn't an 87 quattro.. but then i wouldn't love it so much... but not nearly as much as B (c:

Friday Night

(and going nowhere)

This week has been manic. I haven't stopped.
Highlight was chatting to Bec in Cuzco.
Next best thing was last night at Hammersmith Apollo. a friend of a friend is the stage manager for Gomez and he got us a pair of VIP tickets. Aftershow Party and everything. Nice Guys Gomez.
wasn't great trying to get back from Hammersmith at 1am but got a night bus. I hate night busses. But i like the Gomez guys. cheers Jerry.
Next best thing was the HoareLee's cocktail party at Goldsmiths Hall. amazing place made all the better fo being plied with as much red as i could manage. it was interesting getting home that night too.
Supposed to be out with some snowboarding mates getting beered right now but too much work to do - i will get back to it, in a minute. and i'm saving with a vengence...

It started in Primrose Hill

(and ended in Camden)

sunny

Hello and welcome to my Blog site!
This first entry will have to be brief coz I have LOADS of work to do..

Yesterday I had to hang around the flat until 10am while the BT engineer put a new phone cable up the outside of the house. I'm dead excited though because I haven't had a land line for 2 and a half years, ever since i've been in London, and no broadband either. Thats not too bad coz i have it a work, but lots of sites get blocked by the security systems. The main thing is taking up Orange Broadband which includes, amongst other things, free international calls!
Bec is in South America. I'm not.
still, today is an exiting day because my team and I are moving offices... from one side of the road to the other. i could do without it but it is a better building with nice views to Regents Park. It is a lovely sunny day so that'll be nice.
right, better get packing these crates, it's no longer lunch time...
